I am a Rakesh Dhareshwar photographer residing in India. Photography is my means to share the wonderful moments I get to spend with wild animals in their natural habitat with others. My mission is to tap into people’s emotions towards animals, inspire them to learn more about them and take action to conserve wildlife and its habitats.
My interest in photography was kindled in my childhood where trips to my native place in coastal Karnataka was the primary vacation. My village was between the Arabian Sea and the Agnashni River. Places like Jog Falls, Yana, Devimani Ghat were not very far away. We used to frequent between Udipi , Sirsi and Kumta and the Western Ghats bountiful nature with its never ending species of birds, mammals and plants left an impression on my young mind .
Its been more than a decade where I have been actively pursuing photography with the objective of showcasing wealth of nature we have. My frequent travels including business trips ensured that I can witness newer cultures, and topography and present it.
While my photography is skewed towards birds, I spend a lot of time doing street photography, landscapes while also focusing on wild life and macro subjects.
My PhotoGrapphy is packed with creative features
